lyrics

Speed is picking up as I watch death approach me.
(I feel it dwindle away)
Consolidating past to the world I once knew.
(I say my final goodbyes)
Reaching out for a voice from above to save us.
(Is anyone there?)
I conform in a line, it's all I can do.

Why do you take what's mine,
And leave me with nothing?
But I've learned from time to time,
That nothing ever lasts forever.

I close my eyes to wish it all away.
(How many times does it take?)
Only in my mind is where I'm safe.
(I pray I'm only asleep.)
Everything that you tell me, it just isn't true.
(You make me try to believe.)
Killing is your motive, it's how you fuel.

Why do you take what's mine,
And leave me with nothing?
But I've learned from time to time,
That nothing ever lasts forever.
And still you find the day,
To take it all away.
We need to ban together,
So that one day they'll remember.

No! This is my home.
How does light seem to fade,
Distorting us within a haze?
But don't! Give it hope.
Tomorrow's day may never come,
From the last of a breed to a dying sun.

I looked up,
And saw what could only be described as our self-perceived reflection,
And I felt it.
A type of panic I'll never remember.
A type of panic that could save us all.
